In the years to come, I expect to see greater growth in computerized integration between units inside and outside of factories. The study also showed that most manufacturers are not using their technologies with skill. Thus, there is an untapped potential, which could be realised through more training and retraining of the work force in US factories. The data in this article should serve as an interesting benchmark for Indian manufacturers aspiring to be world-class in what they do.
