Crane-Bel, a manufacturer of high quality machine tools and hydraulic equipment, recently organised an interactive training program for plant maintenance on basics and advanced and latest information and application of hydraulics and fluid power technology in Delhi. The aim of the interactive training programme was to help the industries in increasing their productivity, efficiency, profitability and energy conservation in the area of plant and equipment by providing an exclusive training on fluid power technology. The programme gave the senior engineers, executives and managers who deal in plant maintenance, fluid power systems and hydraulic machinery an opportunity to refresh their knowledge and achieve the best efficiency, productivity and reduce the down-time by adopting the pro-active life extension maintenance concepts.
The faculty of the training programme included Ashok Kumar Gupta, Chairman of Crane-Bel Group (fully devoted to the Engineering and Automotive Industry) and V Suresh Kannan of Eaton-Vickers, which is a leader in fluid power technology. Both, Ashok Kumar Gupta and Kannan were entrusted with the task of imparting training in an interesting manner (and by providing the best of practical knowledge with a unique approach to provide insight into new technologies beneficial for the industry), a task, which Gupta and Kannan carried out quite effectively.
The programme provided good insight into advanced technology and worldwide innovations in hydraulics including the latest and most innovative fluid power products. In addition to a physical demonstration, the speakers explained application and design of hydraulic circuits with energy efficient features, much of which is the need of the day.
Speaking on the occasion, Rajeev Sharma of Honda Siel Cars India Limited said, "The faculty suitably covered all topics, from basic to advance in a short span of time." He added, "The quality of handouts and visuals is excellent, the level of subject treatment is advanced and the course well organised." Appreciating the active participation of trainees, Sharma said that the programme provided new ideas, concepts, skills, strategies and techniques and encouraged change of attitude and perspective to improve efficiency and productivity. Gaurav Dev Sharma and Sanjeev Anand of Subros Limited, who also participated in the interactive training programme said that it suitably covered all the topics from basics to advances, in a small span of time. Sharma added, " The course was well- organised". Commenting on the benefits of the programme, Sharmas views were quite similar to that of Rajeev Sharma of Honda Siel.
A Surya Prakash and his team from Hi Tech Gears Limited opined that the learning was of a high level and the organisation, excellent. Neeraj Kumar of Hero Motors Limited too appreciated the teaching methodology and quality. He added that the level of subject treatment is quite advance. Other participants like Ravinder Singh of Honda Siel Power Projects Limited, Kapil Chaudhary of Shriram Pistons & Rings Limited, Amit Kumar and Praveen Kumar Saxena of Toscana Lasts Limited (Thapar Group) and Vijay Dalhot expressed similar views about the interactive training programme.
